Improved notifications and comment handling

Feature description

Enhanced visibility comments

To make it easier to monitor activity in comments, we have added a notification icon (bell symbol), which is now also visible when the "Notes + Comments" column is collapsed. This ensures that information about new comments and thread status changes is immediately noticeable, even without expanding the section.

This improvement enables quicker responses to new comments and modifications, enhancing collaboration and streamlining team workflows.

More Space for Comments – New 2000-Character Limit

In response to user feedback, we have increased the maximum comment length to 2000 characters. This enhancement allows for more detailed discussions and facilitates the documentation of project decisions.

The extended character limit aligns with the growing popularity of the commenting system in 21prim as a tool for team discussions. With this change, users can express their thoughts more freely without needing to split split content into shorter fragments.

Bug Fixes – Improved System Performance

As part of this update, we have also introduced fixes that eliminate issues related to comment handling:

  • Clicking on a comment thread now expands the shift tile – Previously, in COSMIC and IFPUG methodologies, a collapsed tile would not expand when clicking on a comment, making it difficult to access content. This issue has now been resolved.
  • Changing a thread’s status to "unread" no longer automatically collapses it – In the previous version, an open thread could close when a new comment was added by another user, leading to the risk of losing typed content. The mechanism now functions as expected, and comments remain open if the user is actively working in them.

Further Improvements in Progress

Thanks to the regular feedback from our users, 21prim is continuously improved to better meet the needs of teams working with measurement. Future updates will bring further optimizations to enhance the user experience and workflow efficiency.
